My 2016 Predictions

My 2016 Predictions:

  1. Pope Francis will announce his abdication from the throne of St. Peter to be effective in 2017.
  2. Pope Francis will release his Apostolic Exhortation in January. This Exhortation, which will be written based on the findings of the two Synod of the Family, will have wording that will make it allowable for those who are divorced, remarried, or engaging in homosexual behavior, to receive Holy Communion, based on their “conscience.”
  3. The new Archbishop of St. Paul and Minneapolis will be in the mold of former Archbishop Harry Flynn.
  4. The new Archbishop of St. Paul and Minneapolis will be against tradition and will work to undermine the progress of the FSSP, the TLM community, and the progress the seminary has made.
  5. Hilary Clinton will be elected president of the United States.
  6. I will blog more than The Old Evangelization.

These are it for now. If I think of more, I’ll add them.

My 2015 Predictions…How’d I Do?

With 2015 come and almost gone, it seemed fitting to look back at my predictions from the beginning of the year. Without further ado, I present to you my results:

  1. The Synod on the Family will be a complete and utter disaster. It will be so poor and awful, 2014′s Synod will appear as child’s play. The Synod of the Family ended up being a complete, utter disaster. The final document that was voted on by the Synod Fathers did not quote Pope St. John Paul II on how those who are divorced, remarried, or actively homosexual are not allowed to receive The Holy Eucharist. It also was revealed later on that the final document and the outcome of the Synod had already been written up months before the Synod. Those Synod Fathers who were petitioned to walk out said that they were needed and necessary to prevent further destruction from occurring. PASS.
  2. Pope Francis will make several poor bishop appointments in the US which will promote liberals. Pope Francis appointed Father Robert Barron to be an Auxiliary Bishop of Los Angeles. While Bishop Barron has done a lot of good in the Church, he subscribes to several heresies that have been condemned by the Church. However, I do not know of any prominent liberals who were appointed, so I will have to give myself a fail here. FAIL.
  3. The FFI will be further persecuted. Their case will either be left in limbo, or they will be accused of “heresy”. The ruling has not been passed on the FFI either way, although reports are circulating that the FFI was not found guilty of doing anything wrong, and all of their property must be returned immediately. FAIL.
  4. Catholicism will further be suppressed from within and outside the Church. Tradition will be suppressed in all corners as much as possible. Pope Francis mocked Catholics all year, calling them rabbits and a slew of other insults. PASS.
  5. The Traditional Latin Mass will grow in some areas, and will be hindered in others. I have not heard much of either the TLM getting smaller or bigger. FAIL.
  6. Novelty will continue to be embraced as ” the only way to grow the Church”. Matthew Kelly books are being distributed still at Easter and Christmas. Rebuilt and Praise and Worship are being encouraged. PASS.
  7. I will blog more than The Old EvangelizationPASS.
  8. Pope Francis will no longer be Pope. As of this posting, Pope Francis is still the Pope, though there is some question as to the validity of his election, thanks to Cardinal Danneels. Psalm 108:8 “May his days be few, and another his Bishopric take.” FAIL.

This year, I managed to get 4/8 of my predictions right. 50% is not bad, and this was my best year, though, with some of these predictions, I don’t think I should be proud of that.

My 2015 Predictions

As we ring in the New Year, I would like to make my predictions for 2015.

  3. The FFI will be further persecuted. Their case will either be left in limbo, or they will be accused of “heresy”.
  4. Catholicism will further be suppressed from within and outside the Church. Tradition will be suppressed in all corners as much as possible.
  5. The Traditional Latin Mass will grow in some areas, and will be hindered in others.
  6. Novelty will continue to be embraced as ” the only way to grow the Church”.

This year, I hope my predictions are wrong on all accounts.

My 2014 Predictions…How’d I Do?

With the year 2014 come and almost gone, it is time for me to review how well my predictions were for the year.

Confused Pope Francis

Here are my predictions from last year, with my comments in bold.

  1. Our Lady of Medjugorje will be denounced by Rome as being an invalid apparition, however, Rome will still declare that Medjugorje is a good pilgrimage site. (There was no denouncement from Rome in regards to Medjugorje, as we are still waiting for the results from their investigation. Seeing as the secondary prediction required the first, I rule this as not happening.) FAIL
  2. There will be a very public, and violent attack against Christians and faithful Catholics in the United States. (There was the beheading of the Christian woman by the Muslim in Oklahoma City back in September. There have also been a number of Satanic black masses and idols to go up this year. I’d say this one passes.) PASS
  3. Catholic employers will be arrested for refusing to provide contraception to their employees. (There have been zero arrests that I know of.) FAIL
  4. The Mainstream Media will turn on Pope Francis because he refuses to accept their false views on women’s ordination and homosexuality. (The Mainstream Media continues to love Pope Francis, and with the Synod of October, it appears he may be okay with homosexuality.) FAIL
  5. Because of this Pope Francis’ popularity will begin to become low. What will attribute to this is his already apparent disapproval of faithful Catholics. (Pope Francis still acts and appears to be a rock star.) FAIL
  6. Pope Francis will announce the canonization of Pope Paul VI, without the second needed miracle. (No announcement was made in regards to Pope Paul VI’s canonization, though he was beatified.) FAIL
  7. I will post more often than The Old Evangelization(I did! Knowing him, he would argue quality is better than quantity, but I believe I’ve had some rather quality posts this year as well.) PASS
  8. I will finalize my Mortal Sin Series to better help you all understand what sins are mortal and why. (I wrote more on mortal sins, in fact I wrote a few posts in regards to the Fifth Commandment, though I only wrote those.) FAIL

Overall, I did about a 2/8 for a whopping 25%. Check back shortly for what I believe will happen in 2015, and trust me, these predictions will not be your typical ones.

UPDATE: January 1, 2015 3:22pm
I have released my predictions for 2015.

My 2014 Predictions

The other day, I commented on how my 2013 fared. In short, not so good. But, that’s okay, I never claimed to be a prophet, and predictions are just that, predictions.

I thought I’d share what I think 2014 will hold for us. Without further ado:

  1. Our Lady of Medjugorje will be denounced by Rome as being an invalid apparition, however, Rome will still declare that Medjugorje is a good pilgrimage site.
  2. There will be a very public, and violent attack against Christians and faithful Catholics in the United States.
  3. Catholic employers will be arrested for refusing to provide contraception to their employees.
  4. The Mainstream Media will turn on Pope Francis because he refuses to accept their false views on women’s ordination and homosexuality.
  5. Because of this Pope Francis’ popularity will begin to become low. What will attribute to this is his already apparent disapproval of faithful Catholics.
  6. Pope Francis will announce the canonization of Pope Paul VI, without the second needed miracle.
  7. I will post more often than The Old Evangelization.
  8. I will finalize my Mortal Sin Series to better help you all understand what sins are mortal and why.

I hope and pray that you all had a great 2013 and with any luck, 2014 will be even better.
