No, It’s Not Our Fault If The Pope Speaks Error

Is it just me or have Catholics seemed to have forgotten basic tenets of Catholicism over the last three years?

via GIPHY

With Pope Francis’ latest tirade against the Catholic faith, lying about how Pope Paul VI allowed for nuns in the Congo to use birth control to prevent pregnancy in the case of rape so he could promote the use of birth control to prevent Zika, we see the Pontiff has spoken heretically.

It is Catholic teaching that birth control is always wrong. Period. But, of course, that was before the days when Francis was Pope. No, nowadays Catholicism is determined based on whatever nonsense that this man spews out of his mouth or what day of the week it is. Monday? Abortion is wrong. Tuesday? Go ahead and contracept, who am I to judge? Wednesday? We can’t always talk about abortion and contraception. You get the idea. The man’s about as consistent as a slot machine.

But during this time, many defenders of the Pope in all he says and does are blaming us laity for the Pope’s statements. Many of them go under the titles of Catholic “men” if you can indeed call them men because one of the requirements to be a man is to have testicles. These “men” imply that because we are getting angry with the blasphemies, heresies, and all around trash that continues to come out of the Holy Father’s mouth, that we need to do some soul searching to find out what Pope Francis “really means”.

the thinker

Let’s point out how stupid this sounds. When a high school science teacher begins teaching his students that the Earth is flat and that those who believe otherwise are enemies of science, is it the students who argue back the ones in the wrong? Do these students need to spend more time in study to find out what their teacher “really means”? Of course not. It is up to the teacher to instruct his students with the correct information and not to assert his personal whims, especially when it is proven that the Earth is round.

Pope Francis, like it, or not, continually teaches error. When asked what Pope Francis meant, the Vatican press office led by Fr. Lombardi responded to the affirmative, that Pope Francis indeed meant what he said. There is no tip-toeing around it, Pope Francis. Taught. Error.

Real men don’t sit around and “soul search” when something erroneous is presented to them to try to understand it’s intended meaning. Real men fight back with all of their strength. Real men have the courage to stand up for Truth and not back down. Catholic men do not defend the Pope’s heresies to their dying breath and then claim that they are fighting the battle for Jesus Christ and His Church. Jesus Christ hates errors and anything that is contrary to what has been given by Him or His Church. No, those Catholic “men” who defend the Pope’s errors are not fighting for Jesus Christ, but Satan, who is determined to watch the Church fall.

But, in case you still believe Pope Francis is on the side of Christ and the Church, then I have news for you. Pope Francis just called one of Italy’s leading abortionists who has killed more than 10,000 babies one of the country’s “forgotten greats”.

Reminds you so much of Jesus, doesn’t he?

Thoughts on the Cancellation of Archbishop Fulton Sheen’s Canonization

As you have more than likely heard by now, Cardinal Dolan has cancelled Archbishop Fulton Sheen’s cause for canonization. At least for the time being.

JPII-FJS

Ultimately, what the entire squabble was over was the Diocese of Peoria, Illinois requested that the Archdiocese of New York release Archbishop Sheen’s remains to them. The Diocese of Peoria is where Archbishop Sheen is originally from and the diocese that is heading his cause. It makes sense why they would make such a request. In addition, they would need to examine his body to get first class relics for veneration.

Cardinal Dolan didn’t want to transfer Archbishop Sheen’s remains. He even talked to the Vatican and they didn’t want Archbishop Sheen’s remains to be moved. Why?

Because in America it would be taboo. Americans would find it weird.

This excuse is a cop out of the highest degree. When did the emotions of the United States get to rule the decisions of the Catholic Church?

Cardinal Dolan has made it very clear that he will do whatever he can to make himself popular in the eyes of the secular world. He has gone out of his way to squash any scent of Tradition. Holy Innocents in Manhattan is a thriving Latin Mass community that is out of debt and bringing in money. Yet, the parish is one of the few churches that is up for closure. Meanwhile, St. Francis, a parish that promotes openly homosexual pride Masses, and has been losing money for years, is perfectly okay and in the clear.

Cardinal Dolan goes out of his way to support anybody that is even close to homosexual. Now, while we are not allowed to condemn anyone because of their sin, it is a far different story to condone them and even congratulate them in it.

What is even more intriguing is the Vatican’s play in all of this. The Vatican has raced through Pope John Paul 2’s canonization, decreeing him a saint in only 8 years. The Vatican approved of Pope John XXIII’s canonization even though he only had one of the two required miracles. There is now talk that Pope Paul VI and Pope John I are in the works of being canonized with alleged “miracles”. There are many more cases of saints being rushed through without the required miracles.

Meanwhile, real saints like Pope Pius XII, Pope Pius XI, and Archbishop Sheen are stalled because “there is not enough evidence”. All the while the faithful have been sending evidence and petitioning for their causes.

Archbishop Sheen interceded in a miracle that was recently approved a few months ago by his cause. In this miracle, a stillborn baby who was not breathing for over an hour miraculously came back to life. This baby should have had massive health issues due to lack of oxygen to the brain for such an extended time. The child is completely healthy to this day.

Pope John Paul 2 once said to Archbishop Fulton Sheen:

You have written and spoken well of the Lord, Jesus. You are a loyal son of the Church.

Why then would his cause be completely derailed? They are opposing a “Sainted Pope”, an accusation that has been thrown at me for disagreeing with Pope John Paul II on the Luminous Mysteries.

It is clear to me that Archbishop Sheen’s cause has been completely thwarted because of exactly that quote. Archbishop Sheen fought valiantly for Christ and His Church, something that many in the Church leadership today, including Cardinal Dolan, refuse to do.

If you listen to Archbishop Sheen’s talks, he does not mince words and pronounces the Truth the way it needs to be spoken. The Truth does not change over time.

If you compared Archbishop Sheen’s teachings with most of the prelates of today, it would be evident that they are not following the same faith they appear to proclaim.

In the Post-Vatican 2 Church, if you have ever appeared to be a faithful follower of Jesus Christ and His Church, you are automatically black-listed. Meanwhile, those who have no problem dining with sinners are extolled as joyful witnesses to the “Spirit”.

The whole scenario smells of cheese. Rotten cheese.

The Canonizations

I have actually been taking a break from posting because with much that has been going on in the Church, I have decided that a break was in order. In addition to that, I have been rather busy with other personal matters. I will resume posting soon.

I’ve been muddling over in my head for the last month or so about my thoughts in regards to the recent canonizations of now Pope St. John XXIII and Pope St. John Paul II.

While I do not doubt that they are in Heaven because the Church and Her Magisterium say so, to me, they should not have been elevated to the status of Saint.

Before you pass judgment and accuse me of being a sedevacantist, or heretic, or even a Pharisee, let me explain my position.

The purpose of declaring someone a Saint, is that they are those who have demonstrated heroic virtue based on their state in life. As Popes, they are responsible for the sins of the entire world, those Catholic and non-Catholic alike. There is a reason why so few Popes have been elevated to the status of Sainthood. Each Pope may exude personal holiness, but if they have failed in their duties of their office, that goes against them. Just like if you as a parent have failed to properly bring up your child in the faith, Popes too are responsible for the failures of each child of God on this planet.

Pope St. John XXIII started the Second Vatican Council as we all know. We also can see the fruits of the implementation of this council. Mass attendance has sunk in the United States as well as most of the Western World. Mass attendance prior to V2 was about 80% on a weekly basis. Currently, it is somewhere around 30%. The faith has been watered down since then and sound Catholicism is a rarity to be found.

I understand that you can not blame other people’s faults on someone else, but since this was started under his watch and a direct result from his doings, it is only right that he take responsibility. Many Catholics have abandoned the faith. This is a great tragedy.

The most important factor is that the 2nd required miracle was completely skipped. Granted other Saints have had this requirement waived, it is still disconcerting, even in their cases as well.

Pope St. John Paul II may have combated many evils during his pontificate such as abortion, contraception, homosexuality, women priests, etc, but he had his shortcomings.

One such shortcoming was the complete lack of oversight in regards to the sexual abuse scandal. I’m tired of beating a dead horse but, this occurred under his watch. We are looking strictly at facts. He also publicly kissed a Koran (which he never apologized for), he allowed for female altar servers, he allowed the Assissi gatherings in which false religions were allowed to publicly worship together in some form of false ecumenicism. The sacredness of the Mass was ruined by allowing Witch Doctors and false idols to enter the sanctuary.

Many of the Saints that the Church recognizes have been martyred for refusing to acknowledge the “truths” of false religions. Yes, Islam is a false religion. Since Jesus Christ is the Son of God and He is the Truth, any religion that claims otherwise is False.

Much ink has been spilled about these two and many other sources have far better points than I, but these are my thoughts and again I am not denying the Church’s authority or that of Her Magisterium.

I will recognize that these two men are in Heaven and that their personal holiness is what got them to Heaven. I will also recognize that this seems to be a ploy to canonize the Second Vatican Council, even though there are many things that are contradictory to prior councils (such as religious freedom, ecumenicism, and Islam). This is more evident especially since Pope Paul VI will be beatified over what seems to be a phony miracle.

We have two new Saints. I submit myself to the Church’s Authority on this and trust that God is in control as He always is. This isn’t the end of the world, though it can seem disconcerting. I know my Mass on Divine Mercy Sunday (the Second Sunday of Easter) was very painful and distracting. Thankfully, I was able to ignore my computer most of the day and those I was with made no mention of the canonizations (thank God!).

I close in prayer: “Pope St. John XXIII and Pope St. John Paul II, we ask that you intercede on our behalf, and give us Church leaders that are much greater and holier than you.”
