The Bishops Knew and Are Very Sad You Found Out

There is nothing more sickening, disgusting, blood-boiling, rage inducing than the news coming out of Pennsylvania this week.

More than 300 priests were found to have been involved in molesting children. Even worse? Bishops and Cardinals knew about it and did nothing. Well, that’s not entirely true because they did do something.

They covered it up.

The investigation discovered that Cardinal Wuerl, who has an “upstanding reputation for his zero tolerance take on sex abuse,” paid a priest who was going to report a list of known sex abusers within the priesthood to not report it. The report details this as well.

Another case found that a priest had raped a young girl, the girl became pregnant, and the priest took and paid for her to have an abortion. When the priest’s bishop found out, he wrote a letter of condolence…to the priest.

These are just a couple of cases found within the 800+ page document. Cardinal Wuerl is mentioned over 200 times. That’s quite the damning ratio.

The response from bishops, dioceses, and even the Vatican has been even more appalling. Very few have come out and condemned this behavior and those that have don’t come to realize the problem. There are few calls for these disgusting men to be defrocked, removed from the priesthood, and sent to prison where they can rot the rest of their miserable lives away from more potential victims. Unfortunately many mention how sad they are and ashamed…that you found out.

The Vatican Press Office has issued a “no comment” on the entire matter.

It’s undeniable that this rot is affecting the vast majority of the priesthood and hierarchy within the Church. It is time for a purge, even if that means that there won’t be that many priests left to administer the sacraments. The time for wrist-slapping is over.

Every single one of the clergy who molested or covered up molestation should be removed from ministry and thrown in prison.

Funny timing for Pope Francis to say that the death penalty is “inadmissible,” no?

UPDATE (August 16, 2018 10:42pm):

The Vatican has released a Press Statement.

Top Posts of 2017

Happy New Year! As we roll in 2018, I wanted to take a few minutes to highlight the top posts on the blog. In years past, I would highlight the top ten articles from that particular year and share it on Facebook and Twitter. This year, I thought I’d try something a little different.

As some of you may be new, it’d be good to highlight the posts in an article. One thing I noticed that was different this year was that my top ten posts were all written in previous years, meaning that none of the articles I published in 2017 were the most read articles. So what I thought I’d do was to highlight the top ten posts (top five from 2017 and top five from previous years) and comment as to why they might be.

Top Five Blog Posts of 2017.

Four Years of a Disastrous Papacy

I wrote this on the evening of Pope Francis’ four year anniversary of being elected Pope. I highlight some of the things he has done, as well as what makes his papacy, in my opinion, the worst of them all. Not only does he repeatedly blasphemy both God and Mary, but he both preaches a doctrine and lives a life that is not Catholic.

With the release of the “Dictator Pope” book last month, I think it demonstrates the type of Pope we have.

Heretical Garbage: For Research Purposes Only

I created a stamp that allows you to mark books (or anything really) with this phrase. I had seen this idea as a picture at some point but couldn’t find an affordable way of purchasing it. To date, 56 copies have been sold. Thank you!

Pope Francis Denies the Catholic Faith and the Precepts of the Church Again

About a year ago now, Pope Francis said that if you “go to Mass, but then don’t speak with my parents, help my grandparents or the poor, go and see those who are sick, this does not prove my faith, there’s no point.” One of the precepts of the Church is to go to Mass every week, unless some circumstance prevents you, typically health related. To intentionally miss Mass is a mortal sin.

The story would be different if he said that you shouldn’t receive Holy Communion if you have been disrespectful to your parents or intentionally neglect the sick or poor, but as usual, it wasn’t. This isn’t the first time that he said you shouldn’t go to Mass and it likely won’t be the last.

What Are the World Mission Mysteries of the Rosary and Should We Pray Them?

At the time of this article, I had received two separate rosaries in the mail in the last year that were called “World Mission Rosaries” complete with their own separate mysteries. Upon further investigation, it appears that the original intention behind the “World Mission” Rosary is good, as it calls us to pray for different areas of the world with each decade, however, the inclusion of brand new mysteries should be avoided. Thanks to Pope John Paul II for opening up this can of worms.

Novus Ordo Logic: The Latin Mass Is Eh, The Novus Ordo Is Great

It is interesting isn’t it, that whenever you talk about how great the Latin Mass is, many Catholics look at you with pain and go “yeah, well, I don’t understand what’s going on!” But when you start to point out the inconsistencies with the Novus Ordo Mass, you are met with the same responses:
“But it’s the same Eucharist!”
“It’s okay that it’s different between parishes!”
“Different strokes for different folks!”

Hey, liturgical abuse is cool and should be allowed, but if you want any resemblance of reverence, then you gotta go elsewhere.

Mortal Sin Against the Third Commandment

I’m not sure why this post is still so popular. I suppose it’s because people are looking for some sense of sanity in what grave sins are against the commandments. It just goes to show that I need to continue to publish more articles on mortal sins.

#4
Mortal Sin Against the Fourth Commandment

Again, further illustrates that people want this.

Why Is Matthew Kelly So Popular?

Matthew Kelly is everywhere in the Church these days. I detail how he became so popular as I used to be a fan(as can be observed in much older posts on this blog). I also point out how Matthew Kelly uses a non-traditional idea of St. Joseph’s life to prove a point which can confuse his book “Rediscover Jesus.”

The Rediscover Catholicism Movement Is Not the Answer

Another article detailing why his material is fluff and should not be avoided.

#1
The Luminous Mysteries and Why You Should Dump Them

Without a doubt my most popular post, I point out how the Luminous mysteries are:

  1. A creation of John Paul II. He says so himself. They are not revealed by Mary. He never attributes them to her. His words, not mine.
  2. Inconsistent with the historical understanding of how the Rosary came to be. Initially, the Rosary was prayed by reciting all 15 decades (Joyful, Sorrowful, Glorious) for a total of 150 Hail Mary’s. These 150 Hail Mary’s is equal to the number of Psalms. Hence it’s nickname of “Our Lady’s Psalter.”
  3. Inconsistent with Our Lady’s messages throughout the years. Our Lady, especially at Fatima, calls us to pray the Rosary daily. If these new mysteries are so essential to our faith, which advocates of these mysteries constantly imply, then why did Mary not give them at an apparition? Again, John Paul II created them himself, he says so.
  4. The idea that “they paint a complete picture of Our Lord’s life” is fallacious. It implies that the Rosary before 2004 was incomplete and that Our Perfect Mother in Heaven gave us something incomplete and imperfect.

I’ve also received the most amount of hate for this article in which I’ve been called a Protestant, incomplete in my conversion to the faith, and so on. A follow-up article is needed.

On a personal note, thank you for sticking around on this blog. I know I don’t update it as often lately as life has been busy and this is a hobby. As always, it’s my goal to write more this year, but I’ll have to see what time allows.

If there is a topic of particular interest to you, please leave a comment below, and I’ll write about it.

May God bless you abundantly this year!

Filial Corrections and the Refusal of Clarity

After a much-needed hiatus, the lack of writing in my life has left me feeling guilty. It’s not that I don’t have anything to write about, rather, there is almost too much to write about and not enough time to even make a dent into it. Between my interests of highlighting what is occurring in the world of Church politics as well as combating the errors both minor and major that are promulgated by clergy within the Church, there is just too much to write about and not enough time.

That said, I don’t think I can sit by much longer. With the 100-year anniversary of Fatima looming ever closer, the Pope receiving a Filial correction which hasn’t occurred since the papacy of Pope John XXII, and the rise of heretical Jesuit priests (the Jesuits need to be suppressed), idly sitting by is no longer an option.

While I obviously can’t comment on all things, nor can I write every single article that needs to be written in the blink of an eye, I can at least make a small dent. In the grand scheme of things, I can write the amount that I am supposed to write, and that is all that I can do.

For those who are unaware, a document has been made public over the weekend, signed by 62 Catholics consisting of both theologians and clergy, offering a correction to Pope Francis’ document Amoris Laetitia. I’ve seen some Catholics dismiss this simply because one of the signatories is Bishop Fellay of the SSPX and using this document to further the fallacious arguments that the SSPX is in schism.

The SSPX is not in schism; they are in a canonical irregular status with valid sacraments of baptism, confession, and Mass. If they were truly in schism, none of their sacraments would be valid. They have only proclaimed Catholicism as it has always been preached. Meanwhile, you have uber-liberal and heretical priests like Fr. James Martin, S.J. who receives promotions within the hierarchy.

Going back to the discussion at hand, I don’t think that much will happen from Rome with regards to this correction. Pope Francis received this correction six weeks ago and had yet to respond to it, much like many of the other corrections which have crossed his desk. The only reason this document has been made public is due to Pope Francis’ refusal to respond to it in private, again, much like the other correction and Dubia he has already received.

The Pope will continue, much as he has during the entirety of his pontificate, lambasting those who adhere to Catholicism and promoting the heretics and schismatics who refuse to leave our Church. Pope Francis will eventually cause a schism within the Church, though he will be leading the wrong side. Many will continue to follow him because he will refuse to step down and by all outward appearances, the schismatics will appear to be the Catholics, and the Catholics will seem to be schismatics.

If the Pope promotes heresy, is formally condemned, and refuses to recant his heresy then he will cease to be the Pope and thus not worthy to be followed, even if by all outward appearances he is considered the Pope by many, which he will.

We haven’t seen heresy infect the Church this bad since Arianism, in which many within the Church followed that awful heresy. Thankfully, there were some who had the gall to stand against this heresy and continue to preach the faith, including St. Nicholas and St. Athanasius. Let us pray to these wonderful saints and ask them to assist us during this time. Remember to stay close to the sacraments and to always live according to the eternal Truth of Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Four Years of a Disastrous, If Not, the Worst Papacy

Much ink has been spilled these last four years writing about Pope Francis. Since his elevation to the Papacy, Jorge Bergoglio has given reason to spill ink on an almost daily basis.

Pope Francis Rolling Stone Cover

He has given many interviews in which he provides ammunition to the enemies of Christ and her Church. He has surrounded himself with Cardinals who were, for the most part, considered radically liberal and had been pushed to the wayside. He continues to undermine the pontificates of his predecessors, Pope Benedict XVI and Pope John Paul II, by his attacks on the family, the Liturgy, tradition, and everything Catholic. He undermines Jesus Christ by creating new teachings that are contrary to what Our Lord has given us in the Gospel relating to divorce and remarriage.

It gets tiring.

His latest assault on the Church is against the priesthood. He suggests that Catholic men who have been married may potentially be able to become priests, a practice which hasn’t existed in the Roman Rite for close to 1900 years (except converts from Anglicanism or Orthodoxy).

But this shouldn’t surprise us, after all, Pope Francis is a follower of “the god of surprises.”

Pope Francis must sense that something is afoot and that his time as the Pope is coming to an end. His novel teachings of blatant disregard to Catholic teaching are becoming more accelerated, quicker, and more frequent. Four years ago it was every few weeks in which he said or did something scandalous; now it is a daily occurrence. Perhaps the thought of the canonical penalties of refusing to respond to a dubia are weighing on him?

To say that the conservatives and traditionalists are unopen to the Holy Ghost is, quite possibly, one of the saddest excuses I’ve heard to defend this man. A Pope can’t change teachings of the Church which have excommunications on them. A Pope can’t change the teachings of Jesus Christ. This Pope attempts to and receives praise for it.

Clergy who argued with Pope Benedict XVI and Pope John Paul II about the need to change Church teaching are strengthened by Pope Francis. These clergymen continue to wreck havoc with their false mercy allowing those who are unrepentant to receive access to the sacrament while ridiculing the repentant as being too rigid.

No other Pope has been as popular by secular culture as Pope Francis is. Jesus Christ was crucified by the society in which He lived, for our sins; Pope Francis is set on a pedestal and praised for his inclusiveness and mercy. Meanwhile, Pope Benedict XVI and Pope John Paul II were regularly mocked by the media and society in general.

Pope Francis will likely go down in history as one of, if not the worst Pope in the entire history of the Catholic Church, putting to shame the horrendous papacies of the 1000s and Borgia Popes of the 1500s. While those Popes lived disgusting, vile, and sinful lives, they at least taught the Catholic faith as it had been given to them. Pope Francis, on the other hand, teaches a doctrine contrary to what has been given to him and lives a life that matches that heretical doctrine.

Pope Francis Loggia

It has been four years of this pontificate, and I will not bore you with anymore (at least in this post). For those who follow this blog regularly, you know where I stand. May the Lord spare us any more of this non-sense.

On This Fourth Anniversary of Pope Benedict’s Abdication

On this fourth anniversary of Pope Benedict XVI’s abdication of the Papacy, I have some musings that I have been thinking of for some time.

Thoughts on Pope Benedict's Resignation

For Catholics, we are living in a rather difficult period in the Chuch’s almost 2,000-year history. Under the papacy of Pope Francis, faithful Catholics are ridiculed, mocked, and left with a feeling that we have been bad simply for following the teachings of Jesus Christ and His Church.

In contrast with that of Pope Benedict, we feel that we had it so wonderful under his reign. After all, he gave us Summorum Pontificum, encouraged the return to Latin, Ad Orientem, and other reforms to bring reverence back to the Liturgy. I have heard many Catholics pine for the days of Pope Benedict, wishing that we could have him back as our Pope and talk about how great of a Pope he was.

I wish I could say I felt the same way.

Pope Benedict

The truth is, we can thank Pope Benedict for Pope Francis. Pope Benedict, for whatever reason, abdicated the throne. Why he did this has been up for debate for the last four years. Some speculate he was blackmailed, tired, ill, opposed from within (St. Gallen mafia), couldn’t handle the politics, and I’m sure many other reasons that I have yet heard. But for whatever reason, he abandoned us.

If Pope Francis is the abusive father that berates his children behind closed doors and puts on a show of pleasantries for the world to see, Pope Benedict is the father who walked out on his wife and children and left them alone and wounded for the abusive father to waltz right in.

Pope Francis glare

What the Church needs right now is not a return of Pope Benedict, but rather, a Pope who will defend the Church, her teachings, Christ’s teachings, and proclaim the Gospel as given to us by Jesus Christ. We do not need a Pope who will only go half way, but a Pope who will stand by the Church and with full force return her to her former glory.

Enough of the liberal nonsense, enough of the modernist propaganda, enough of the Protestant, all religions are the same garbage and enough of the globalist mentality that has infected and wounded the Church for the last 100 years.

Pray for Pope Emeritus Benedict, pray for Pope Francis, pray for the Church, and pray that God spares us any more of this disastrous papacy.
