New Design and Some Ads
It’s been a few years since I updated the design of the blog. For the most part, the layout is the same as you are used to. For those of you visiting on a desktop computer, you will notice that the site header has changed. It is now a picture of St. Paul preaching the Gospel.

I found this image some time ago and fell in love with it. It’s a pretty large image, so I cropped it down as best as I could. WordPress’ specifications are fairly specific.
I also caved and added advertising to the blog. I did this for a couple of reasons, primarily being that I have had to put some money into the blog over the last few years. Each year I seem to put more and more into it. I’m hoping that over the course of the year, I will earn enough ad revenue to allow for the blog to pay for itself and break even. Anything extra will be used to reinvest into the blog.
That being said, I have some control over the ads that are being displayed. I’ve done my best to block as many of the potentially offensive ads that one might see, but of course, that is no guarantee. If you are viewing the blog and see one that is offensive, please take a screenshot of it and either email it to me or comment on the post you happen to be viewing.
Also, I am trying to make the ads as non-intrusive as possible while still giving you all a good experience on the site. If you find that the ads are making the site almost impossible to work with, please let me know. This is brand new territory for me.
